Over the last 5 years Woodnet has been working closely with the Montfort Trimble Foundation at the Trimble and Rewanui Forests located just outside of Masterton. This has involved planting and managing 24 different species including both indigenous and exotic trees other than Pinus Radiata at Rewanui along with additional work in indigenous reversion promotion.

“Woodnet have provided forest management services to the Montfort Trimble Foundation since the Foundation’s inception in 2004. Stuart and his team have planted trees, looked after them and arranged harvesting of earlier stands. The work has always been carried out to a high professional standard particularly in relation to the marketing of logs. They advise us how to make the most of the Emissions Trading Scheme and have done all the work needed for us to put this into practise. Stuart played a large part in the Foundation obtaining and administering a large grant from the Sustainable Farming Fund to explore the place trees have in farming East Coast hill country. Using Woodnet’s resources we have established a long term trial on our property “Rewanui” to demonstrate the qualities of a wide range of indigenous and exotic trees. I am very happy to recommend the services of the Woodnet team to anyone contemplating tasks associated with forestry.”
